Reasons for different prices of 304 stainless steel belt

Many people find that the price of 304 stainless steel belt varies. Even the quotation given by the same manufacturer is always different. For example, if the thickness of the steel belt is different, the price is different. Today, let's talk in detail about the reasons for the different prices.

1. Calendering problem.

The thickness of 304 stainless steel strip is closely related to the calendering quality during processing. As for the cost of rolling, it often varies according to the thickness. The thinner the rolling, the more expensive the processing cost required for each ton. Therefore, the thinner the steel strip, the more expensive the price. Of course, if the steel strip exceeds the general specification after comparison, the calendering cost will be more expensive, resulting in an increase in the price of the steel strip.

2. Yield problem.

General steel strip manufacturers produce steel strips with common specifications. When polishing, the yield of these steel strips with common specifications is relatively high and the production is relatively easy, so the price is generally stable. However, in the actual needs of customers, because the specifications of steel strips required by customers are different, such as thin steel strips, it is difficult to process, the yield is low, the loss of materials is large, and the natural price will also increase.

3. Damage problem

During storage and transportation, those thin steel strips have high requirements for storage and transportation, and are prone to crushing, deformation and other problems during storage and transportation, so the price will be higher.

When purchasing 304 stainless steel belt, we need to consider not only the price, but also the authenticity of the steel belt. We can ask the supplier to provide quality certificate or factory inspection certificate. We must not buy low-quality steel belt for cheap.
